Just to give you a head start about the place, Darjeeling hill town is located at an altitude of 6,710ft in north east India and is part of the state of West Bengal.
Darjeeling hill town was originally set up as a sanitarium or health resort by the British in mid 1800s. But over the years, it earned its name for its world famous aromatic tea and then with opening up of roads and Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, for tourism.

How To Reach

The major access to Laskus Homestay by road is via Siliguri, 75 K.M. (via NH 55), which is connected to all the major cities of India. Bus service is available from Tenzing Norgay Bus Stand, Siliguri. Smaller vehicles are also available on seat-sharing/ hire from airport, railway station, motor syndicates / police motor stand. Facility of Pre-paid taxi stand from NJP Railway station & Bagdogra airport can also be availed. The four routes that one can opt from Siliguri to reach Laskus Homestay are: i) Tindharia – Kurseong route ii) Via Rohini route iii) Via Pankhabari Route iv) Dudhiya – Mirik route

Winter season is super chilly in Darjeeling as the temperature ranges between 2°C and 7°C during this time. It usually begins from October and lasts till March, but can be the best time to visit Darjeeling and enjoy its snowy and pristine beauty.
